Today we are taking advantage of our opportunity to share our Genius Power! There are a million things that we are curious about. From the whys to the hows it is so important that we spend time investigating in our passions. Over the next 3 weeks kiddos in room 227 will be encouraged to look at what things in the world they want to know more about, and they will be given the time to look for that information and create! Below we are collecting topics that the kiddos of room 227 are curious and passionate about!
*We will be sharing out some of our ideas, questions and problems during this process using Twitter and the hashtag(#) #GeniusHour feel free to follow our class on twitter @kdsof227 . Twitter does an amazing job of connecting our class with experts who know about our topics, and other students and teachers who are finding out more about their passions!

Bike Safety
This week our class learned about bicycle safety. We learned to always wear helmets, wear bright colored clothes at night and all sorts of things that help us stay safe on the bicycle.
Worms!
Yesterday, our class studied worms for Earth Day. We learned how they eat things and decompose them. We took one to our desks and observed the way they move. One of our students even had a worm that had a baby!
