Tiffany Ridge Elementary
Environmentalist Club needs your help!
Tiffany Ridge Families we need your help! The Tiffany Ridge Elementary Environmentalist
Club (TREE Club) is collecting money to plant trees in the Atlantic Forest in
Brazil. This is one of the largest
tropical forests in the world and only 12% of it remains. It provides clean water and hydro energy for
over 130 million people in Brazil. The
Nature Conservancy is working to bring the forest back from the brink by restoring
1 million acres of land by planting 1 billion trees by 2015. This restoration effort has the ability to
remove 4 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere every year. If you want more information about The Nature
Conservancy or The Plant a Billion Trees Campaign please visit http://www.plantabillion.org/.
We will be collect money from Wednesday, March 20-
Wednesday, April 3. Please feel free to
donate what you can to this great cause; this can be spare change to dollar
bills. For every dollar donated the
conservancy will plant one tree! What a
great way to help our children at Tiffany Ridge become more environmentally
conscious!
Thank you for your help!
Nicole Natzke, head TREE hugger and club sponsor
