We are working on researching, but I think the first step to being a really great researcher is knowing ow to find things that interest you. Today students looked for articles from Time for Kids and Science for Kids, they will be posting the links that they think are most interesting in the comments section of this post. Enjoy!
http://www.kidsturncentral.com/animals/lynx.htm
ReplyDeleteI chose this article because I want people to stop hunting the lynx. The lynx never did anything to you. How would you feel if you got killed for you fur?
http://www.timeforkids.com/photos-video/video/working-dogs-tucker-65106
ReplyDeleteI like this video because it talks about how dogs help people save endangered species. This video is also about how a dog and his or her human are a part of a group called Under Hour Nose. This group is from confersation canines. Another way that I like this video is that the people who are also a part of this group say that having dogs help people save endangered animals is a great idea. I think that you will like this articale as much as i do.

http://www.sciencenewsforkids.org/2005/01/digging-into-a-tsunami-disaster-2/
ReplyDeleteThe tsunami in the indian ocean hit 145,000 and killed them. The first crash of water hit Sumatra 15 minutes after the quake, with waves as high as 15 meters (49 feet).
Tsunamis hit Thailand 75 minutes after the earthquake. They hit Sri Lanka and India 4 hours after it happened. Disaster even reached as far as Africa. People died in Somalia and Kenya, some 5,000 kilometers (3,100 miles) away from the quake’s center.
This aerial view of the village of BanTuan, south of Banda Aceh in Sumatra, Indonesia, shows the damage caused by the recent Indian Ocean tsunami. The huge waves deposited beach sand and soil, stripped away vegetation, and destroyed structures as far inla.
That's what was on my mind with TSUNAMIS!!!!
http://www.timeforkids.com/news/bouncers-beware/61076 I chose this article because some people who go to a bouncy house say that it is dangerouse but some people like me say it is not so i want to fight for that bouncy houses aren't dangerouse.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.sciencenewsforkids.org/?s=a+diamond+planet
ReplyDeleteI like this article because its something I did't know.I also like it because it interesting
to read about. Its cool to think that over time the sun could do that to a planet.
I like all the posiblities you can think of when you read it.Like, how hot is the sun?Its much hotter than a every day oven I can tell you that.If you tried to heat up a oven as hot as the sun it would probily explode. Then you would have a mess to clean up and perents to repay.
I have more to say but not that much time.So I hope you like this article as much as I do!
Bye
